What to expect from your home massage

A home massage will have all the elements of a massage in a clinic…except it will be in the comfort of your own home. I will bring the massage table, towel and oils to you. You just need to prepare a space for me…and relax.

Before I arrive please choose a space that I can set up my massage table. It doesn’t matter where, so long as I have enough room so that I can easily move around the table. A quiet private space will be better for a relaxing massage. Make sure that the room temperature is comfortable, especially in winter, as you can easily feel cold when lying still on the massage table. If you are having a seated massage, please choose a chair with a low back, that will allow me to easily access your shoulders and upper back. Other than that there is no need to do anything but be relaxed and ready for a massage.

When I arrive I will set up my table while you complete a client information form. We will then have a chat about any specific requirements you may have for the massage and I will outline what will happen during the massage.

I bring my own music player and music, but if you prefer we can play your own music, or even have silence. It’s completely up to you.

I will leave the room to wash my hands and allow you time to undress, and to lie on the table and cover yourself with the drapes. Usually clients will undress down to their underpants. Ladies may keep their bras on if this is more comfortable.

When you are ready I will begin the massage treatment. I will check in with you frequently to see that I am using the right amount of pressure for you. If you want to chat that is fine, but many clients prefer to relax in silence. It’s completely up to you.

Following treatment I will again leave the room to allow you to dress. Many clients will put on a dressing gown and then will have a shower after I leave.
